Rapeseed Wax

Specifications
Rapeseed Wax, derived from rapeseed oil (Scientific name: Brassica napus), is created through hydrogenation and fractionation of the oil. It is sustainable, biodegradable, and has a creamy texture with a relatively high melting point. Rapeseed wax is prized for its slow, clean burn and excellent fragrance throw, making it popular in candles and cosmetics. It is especially valued in Europe, where rapeseed is widely cultivated, giving the wax one of the lowest carbon footprints among plant‑based waxes. Historically, rapeseed oil was used for lamps and lubricants before modern food and industrial applications. Interesting fact: rapeseed wax is often blended with coconut or soy wax to enhance stability and performance in premium candles.
