Soap Noodles

Specifications
Soap Noodles are semi‑finished soap products made by saponifying vegetable oils or animal fats with sodium hydroxide (lye). They come in small, pellet‑like shapes and serve as the base material for manufacturing bar soaps. Soap noodles are typically composed of 78–80% total fatty matter (TFM), with the rest being moisture and minor additives. They can be derived from palm oil, palm kernel oil, coconut oil, or tallow, and are classified by their TFM content and fatty acid composition. Soap manufacturers purchase noodles to blend with fragrances, colors, and other additives before extruding them into finished bars. The global soap noodle market is significant, with major production hubs in Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia and Indonesia. Interesting fact: soap noodles allow small‑scale manufacturers to produce branded soaps without needing full saponification facilities, lowering barriers to entry in the soap industry.
