Damask and Moss Rose Floral Wax

    About This Product

Rose flowers are first distilled to give an extract balm; when rose absolute is then drawn from that balm, the waxy component is removed by dewaxing and recovered as this floral wax. Its data sheet names Damascus rose, the damask rose (Rosa damascena), together with moss rose as the flowers used. It is a light yellow solid in round lumps, melts at 57–65 °C and holds residual rose essential oil components that give a warm, deep rose scent, and trace botanical particles may remain from the physical extraction. In a formula it supplies body and natural rose fragrance together. Solid and balm perfumes, fragrance sticks, lip and facial balms, body butters, moisturising creams, hair waxes, conditioning balms and scalp-care formulations are typical homes for it, along with massage balms and wellness products. Luxury or floral candle makers use it as an additive to a natural wax rather than as the base, and it mixes well with plant oils, butters and other natural waxes. Because moss rose is named alongside Damascus rose, buyers who need a single species, or who are matching a damask-rose fragrance brief, should confirm the botanical source for each lot. Natural variation and climate can shift its properties, so request the current specification, a sample and packaging details, trial it in the finished product, and confirm it meets the cosmetic or candle regulations that apply. Keep it in a closed container somewhere cool and dry, away from sunlight and moisture.
